APOLOGIZE OVER COVID-19 SPIKE

As always, DP Ruto and his TangaTanga battalion have embarked on a well-orchestrated campaign to lay the blame for the spike of covid-19 cases on activities related to the Building Bridges initiative.

Over the last couple of weeks, Kenyans have witnessed a sharp increase in the spread of Covid 19 across the country. The virus is now spreading like bush fire; it has claimed more lives than ever fore.

As always, DP Ruto and his TangaTanga battalion have embarked on a well-orchestrated campaign to lay the blame for the spike of covid-19 cases on activities related to the Building Bridges initiative.

Additionally, they have also gone as far as suggesting that the financial crisis being experienced where COVID management is concerned is because GOK has preferred to divert resources to BBI rather than to the fight against COVID.

This is despite the fact that they have ignored Covid-19 protocols in the past, held super spreader events and lived as if the disease does not exist.

This strategy is a response to the spike in infection of DP allies who have been part of his super spreader events and who have assisted him in spreading untrue propaganda on COVID.

Before this change of narrative, the DP and his allies had downplayed the pandemic. For example, Hon Kimani Ngungiri of Nakuru County, a county that is worst hit by the second wave of spread had claimed that COVID-19 is State orchestrated coronavirus case to stop the Nakuru BBI rally.

In March 2020, Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri, sensationally claimed that the government of President Uhuru Kenyatta has stage-managed the country’s first case of the coronavirus for political reasons.

Why is it that when the disease is killing their allies is the only time they are telling us to stop everything and focus on containing covid-19?
