– This is after making an announcement that Kenya will host the event every year until 2026

– He attributed this to an agreement between his

government, International Automobile Federation (FIA), and World Rally Championship (WRC)

As the World Rally Champion came to a close on Sunday,

June 27, President Uhuru Kenyatta had good news for

Kenyans.

President Uhuru Kenyatta made the announcement as curtains

came down on the four-day event that was held in Naivasha.

Addressing the public just before the overall winners were

announced, Uhuru made it known that Kenya had entered into

an agreement with International Automobile Federation (FIA)

and World Rally Championship (WRC) to host the Safari Rally

every year until 2026.

Uhuru was accompanied by Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina

Mohammed when he checked in at the Hells Gate WRC Circuit

in Naivasha to witness the power stage finish .
