Amani National Congress ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi had told off some of the supporters of the Controversial Building Bridges Initiative report.

The former vice President has told off Francis Atwoli and others who believe that there will be no election if the controversial report will not have been adopted by the time of the elections.

Musalia Mudavadi has told Francis Atwoli and his allies that Kenya is not in a constituonal vacuum and hence they should not pressure Kenyans to pass the report as a condition for anything.

Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli had declared that the 2022 elections would be delayed for an year if the BBI Constitution Amendment Bill did go through.

Speaking during a press address in June 16, in Nakuru County, Atwoli stated that he and interested parties would respect the decisions by the courts.

However, Musalia Mudavadi's sentiments have brought some bad news since his influence in the whole process cannot be underestimated by the governor.

Mr Mudavadi was one of the leaders who expressed contrary opinions on the proposals during the launch of the report on October 26 at Bomas of Kenya. In his list of grievances, Musalia opined that the BBI proposals rendered the Senate toothless by stripping its powers to legislate issues to do with devolution.
