President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM Leader, H.E Raila Odinga to ride on a train to Kisumu in April to signify return of railways operations in the region.
The Defense CAS ,Hon Peter Odoyo has said KDF Officers are almost through with refurbishment works on the line and will handover to KR soon.
1)Renovation of Mombasa- Nairobi-Kisumu railway line is almost complete. Renovation works are at 90%. The all lines will be fully operational within a month.
2) Uhuru and Raila will take the first symbolic trip from Mombasa- Kisumu on April.
Interestingly ,President Uhuru and Raila While in Kisumu will:
1)Inspect development projects.
2)Launch BBI campaigns.
