The academic calender was affected by the outbreak of Covid-19 disease which found its way into Kenya last year march prompting president Uhuru Kenyatta to order for indefinate closure of all learning institutions countrywide to aid in combating the spread of Covid-19 disease.
The ministry of education came up with anew academic year aimed at restoring the calender back to normality. The academic calender has both learning dates and also the examination dates which will guide the academic calender to normal at the start of 2023.
The Kenya national examination council recently rolled up the 2021 registration program registering the class seven and form three students ahead of their promotion to candidate classes of class eight and form four.
The registration is scheduled to be complete by the end of July with examiners busy in setting the exams. Knec issued a stringent directive to all schools to ensure that no candidate will be egistered twice since this translates to exam malpractice. Examination centers with less than fourteen candidates will be assimilated by neighbouring centres in supervision of the sub-county education directors, also in addition, only one private examination centre will be allowed per sub-county.
