Kenyan man uses Ksh50 on wife’s account to bet, wins Ksh20M


A couple is smiling all the way to the bank after they won Ksh20 million in a correctly predicted bet on a local gaming site.

The man placed 13 games on the local gaming site using Ksh 50 only to be notified later that he is the winner.

Patimo Emali used his wife Divina Kwamboka’s betting account to place the said bet on Monday, November 1, 2021, since his account lacked enough money only for lady luck to knock at their door.

“I’m happy to win the huge amount, I really wasn’t sure that we were going to win the amount, but words cannot express how I feel, I let him use my account because we share everything, he has his account and I have mine so we tried his luck with both of them,” Kwamboka said.

The couple took the maximum payout from the betting firm from a single multi bet with their bet slip initially being Ksh16 million but were rewarded a further Ksh4 million from the stake.

Among the picks in the winning bet were two draws predicted in Odense versus Aarhus and Rayo Vallecano versus Celta in Spain, with the two games ending scoreless to give Emali a hefty paycheque.
