History of Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute
In response to the needs for pediatric specialists in Uzbekistan, Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute (TPMI) was founded in 1972. Throughout the years since its inception, TPMI has increased its academic programs, improved the facilities of its research units, and initiated cooperation with other international health care organizations. Throughout these years, thousands of pediatricians graduated from TPMI and, thus, played a part in transforming child health in Uzbekistan and throughout the world. With time, the institute has been modernizing with new medical advancement. As a result, it offers the best education to the students. So far, TPMI remains the center of pediatric health care education in Central Asia and trains future medical professionals.
