UPDATE: The Ministry of Health on Saturday announced that 1,153 people tested positive for COVID-19 from a sample size of 9,316 tested in the last 24 hours.
This now takes the country’s positivity rate to 12.4%; as the total confirmed positive infections hit 156,318 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 1,641,015.
From the cases 1,128 are Kenyans while 25 are foreigners; 705 are males and 448 are females, the youngest is a 9-month-old-infant while the oldest is 101 years.
The ministry also said 20 deaths have been reported; with 1 having occurred in the last 24hrs, 5 having occurred on diverse dates within the last one month, while 14 are late deaths reported after conducting facility record audits.
This now pushes cumulative fatalities to 2,603.
191 patients also recovered from the disease; 109 from Home Based and Isolation Care while 82 were discharged from various health facilities countrywide. #JichoTVNews #EyeOnKenya
