Black Panther II will be released July next year. Marvel has however said the movie will honour the late Chadwick Boseman and will not show the King T'challa of Wakanda as they have no intention to recast the role or have a computer generated Chadwick. Instead the movie will explore other characters and Wakanda kingdom more.
"There's only one Chadwick and he is no longer with us, the King died in real life." They said.
This is the road to Marsabit. The second photo was taken about 8 years ago by Capital FM. The first photo was taken more recently by some guys on a road trip. The road used to be so bad and so awful that Capital FM did a YouTube video on it called "The Marsabit road of death and terror". I am sure you remember the frequent bus attacks along the route. In fact during construction the contractor lost several workers to bandit attacks and had to guarded by a contigent of at least fifty police officers at all times.
The construction of the road by Uhuru's government has changed everything. First of all, from Merille river to Moyale GoK had to build a police station and sink a borehole every thirty kilometers. Secondly the road has opened up the region and more than significantly reduced the issues of terrorism and insecurities. Third it has introduced a new tourist favourite to Marsabit, North Horr and to our very own Dubai like desert safaris at Chalbi desert. It is a trip I will be taking soon now that lockdown has been lifted.
The mountain in the background is Mt. Ololokwe or Oldonyo Sabache. Thanks to the road it has recently become the most photographed mountain in the country. People go camping on its flat top now.
Curiously watching DSTv driving themselves to the edge of the cliff and wondering what in the world are they thinking? Three things will have them done in a not very long while, price, insistence on customers having dishes, cards and decoders and finally getting stuck in their ways.
Let's start with the dish decoders and cards. The question that comes to mind, is why? They do know people have fiber now? Why would I need to install a dish, run meters and meters of cable for something that does one thing? Compare that with installing fiber that brings me everything including and not limited to TV content on DSTV. The crazy thing is that they already have the website and the app like Netflix where you can watch stuff but get this, you still need a dish, decoder and card for your phone or laptop to link with your account. WTH?
As for price, the main reason anyone still subscribes to DStv premium packages is EPL and other Supersport offerings. A premium package can go upto 7k per month, But Showmax for example is offering the same for about 1,200/- a month. Others pay for Comedy Central and documentary channels but all those clips are on YouTube now. They are in bits and pieces but instead of forking over 7k a month, I'd rather watch the bits and then piece them together in my head. Again, what are you doing people?
Biasharas get stuck in their ways selling their trusted products that times go by things change and they do not even realise it. I know maybe DSTv might be struggling with accepting that the age of satellite TV is past its better days, coupled with the fact that their name is literally Satellite TV but it is the reality now. "This is the way we've always done things around here" mentality is dangerous. Hata Zuku walikuja na hizo madish za TV na sasa wanauza faiba. I am not predicting doom but, adapt or die they say.
I like Safaricom the same way I like eating sodom apples but they are innovative and they do stay ahead of the curve for it. Their recent call/demand for people to re-apply for their jobs and formation of tribes is so Silicon Valley and so smart that I can't even be mad at them. Safaricom does not want to fall into the same slump that dogs government and public service. Quit whining , stop demonizing everything and be better.
