When we, as Black people use some words, we are subliminally endorsing the denigration of Black people. Even the word denigration, if you know the origin of it, you will stop using it. It originates from the N-word.

Don't say Blackmail. Say malign
Don't use blacklist. Use delist
Avoid using Black sheep. Say, prodigal child
Rather than Blackball, say, reject
Reject Blackmarket. Instead, use parallel market
Don't say Blackout. Say unconscious or power outage
Instead of 'paint him black', say spoil his reputation

Constant use of these words inadvertently paints an image of Blackness and dark colours as negative, evil, foreboding, and to be avoided, especially when they are contrasted with words that project Whiteness as positive, such as whitewash, stainless or spotless white, white as snow, or pure white. Stop calling people 'black devils'. Demons are not described that way in Scripture. It is scripting your mentality to hate yourself and your fellow blacks, especially when the mainstream media has turned Christ from an olive-skinned Semite to a blond-haired and blue-eyed Caucasian. Project blackness positively!

Take back some power from life. You don't have the power to decide when, where, or how you are going to die. You did not even have the authority to influence when, where, how, or to whom you were born. But you have the power to choose how and where you will live. So, focus all your energy on that area. Live well. Fulfil your dreams. Enjoy today because tomorrow may not come for you. Squeeze out every legal, moral and Godly fun you can out of life. How can you have the power to flex, yet you allow people to vex you? That is not power. That is weakness!

You will get bitter if your focus is on who is doing better than you. You will get better if your focus is how you are doing better than you were last year. Your competition is your old self, not others. Measure yourself with your potential, not with your rivals. In fact, neither poverty nor prosperity matter if you don’t have eternity. I like money. Money is good. However, money is temporal. And God is permanent. So, in my pursuit of money, there are certain things I won’t do, even if my rivals do it, not because I can’t do them, but because I fear God. Prisons are full of people who measured themselves with their rivals.
