Philip Hughes of Denbighshire, Wales decided to use animal manure from his farm as a sustainable energy source for mining.
The large six-cylinder engines run at 500 rpm and convert the methane released from decomposing manure into electricity.

Two-thirds of the energy goes to power the farm itself and the vehicle fleet, and the remaining third supplies mining rigs, which consist of GPU blocks. So far, Hughes has been mining only Etherem.
